In the article views manifestations of the somatoform disorders in terms of behavioral and cognitive mechanisms of their appearance. The author suggests that in the cases of such disorders psychotherapeutic intervention should be based on avoiding the discussion of symptoms to developing effective strategies to overcome the discomfort.
